ATOM 1 MUDCATS 2018-2019
GAME DAY EXPECTAIONS FOR PARENTS & PLAYERS:

-come at least 30 minutes before game start to be sure enough time to; warm-up, get dressed & be ready for pre-game directions (line combos, strategy, etc.).I will always try and be at all games an hour early.  At home I suggest players perform a 2 lap jog around the track-not mandatory. -ready for short effective shifts. -provide a water bottle for the bench. PARENTS: -have your players dressed and skates tied before the Zamboni (end of last game) enters the ice surface and have left the room so we can have the players full attention. -respect; all players (both teams), all coaches and all officials. -no coaching from the stands.  Only supportive positive comments towards players and team. -reinforce team before puck.  Please do not instill your own strategy into the player.  Our plan is a team plan, not an individual plan. -when talking to your players about the game before or after, when introducing correction----2 positive comment to one corrective/negative comment. -after the game please have all players come to the dressing room for a post game wrap up before taking equipment off---parent free. COACHES: -when talking to your players about the game before or after, when introducing correction----2 positive comment to one corrective/negative comment.  In between shifts let the players have water & some rest before coaching. -no yelling at players.  No yelling names or corrective ideas while live play. Only vocalize simple instructions; pressure, gap, look, pass, skate, chip, dump, etc. -only call player’s names for line changes so they understand when their name is called it is to come to the bench.

    2018-2019 ATOM 1 RED
The Port Colborne Sailers & Fort Erie Meteors Novice and Atom LL programs are re-entering the NDLL.  This could make each age have 3 playoff groups, instead of 2 groups, making the playoff groups more fairly matched.  We will be in the Port ...
