Rob Johnson Memorial Tournament - Paris, Ontario
Dunnville Peewee Rep Mudcat team ventured off to Paris this weekend to challenge themselves in the Rob Johnson Memorial Tournament. Things started off slow with a 5-1 loss to the Caledonia team and a 10 - 0 loss to Paris. The leaders on the team rallied the troops and beat Belford 2 - 1 to move onto the semi-finals. In the Semi-final game Paris was surprised when the real Dunnville team showed up to play.
Paris started off with the first goal at 7:54 in the first period. The Mudcats returned the favor with a goal at 6:58. In the second period the Mudcats scored from the blue line to take the lead. Paris tied the game up in the second at 6:12. The whole team was working hard and it looked like overtime was around the corner when Paris scored with 25 seconds left in the game. The coaching staff would like the parents to know it was all the kids effort that made the difference. This team really showed what they are made of with a strong finish. Keep up the hard work!
