Effective: February 1, 2024

The Ontario Hockey Federation’s Dressing Room Policy ensures a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants across member associations.

Key Points

  • Participants must have access to dressing rooms or equivalent changing spaces that respect their gender identity, religious beliefs, body-image concerns, or individual comfort.
  • Minimum attire requirement: coverage of buttocks and genitalia, and for those with breasts, the chest area. (Ideal coverage is neck to waist and upper thighs.)
  • Rule of Two: When minors are present, at least two screened adults (team officials/volunteers) must be supervising (inside the room or at an open/ajar door) as per safeguarding standards.
  • Privacy and accommodation requests will be handled confidentially by team/association officials.
