Folks,
It is very important that your player has all the required equipment to enter the ice. Player's that are not properly equipped will have to leave the ice immediately and sorry, no 'ifs ands or buts' or 'they have it next time'. No no's are lacrosse cages, lacrosse gloves, bicycle helmets, 1940's leather helmets, etc.
To know exactly what your child should be using to participate in hockey go to this Equipment Checklist
HERE Note: your new player will eventually get a jersey, but no on the first day, they will need one.
Parents, understand that in the U5/U6 program there is always help needed on the ice and please don't assume there is enough help. Most people that are helping have a child on the ice that needs attention and will not be immediately be able to help your child. This is all volunteer. Please think about helping your player in this first step into hockey.
Parents to help need skates, CSA helmet, gloves and a stick. If you are going to stick with the rewarding hobby of volunteering for hockey you will need to get a Police Check done which easily done online
HERE after obtaining a
volunteer letter from DHMA, that must be included with your application, go HERE for more information on obtaining the form.
